Post Canyon Stables in Hood River, Oregon is home to Appleseed Equestrian. Grace also partners with Meadowlark Equestrian, based at York Hill Stables, where she teaches both private lessons and clinics.
Appleseed Riding School is an all inclusive program for kids age 5 and up that includes four riding lessons per month, group unmounted workshops, and progress reports. Appleseed Riding School is unique from other lesson programs because it is curriculum based, meaning students progress through learning levels with measurable goals. Also, kids get to deepen their horse knowledge in a fun group setting, building community and connection.
Kids’ lessons are designed to be fun, engaging, and safe, and Grace has a wide range of games and exercises to keep young riders excited. She also teaches the basics of grooming, leading, and tacking-up so that young riders can develop confidence on and off the horse. She believes horse riding is a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn independence, discipline, and responsibility.

The Intermediate Riders program is ideal for beginner or intermediate riders age 14 and up. Intermediate Riders can choose between a riding lesson or private unmounted lesson to deepen their horse knowledge. This program will give you all the tools you need to eventually buy or lease your own horse.
Package Pricing:
1 lesson per month: $90
2 lessons per month: $170
4 lessons per month: $340
Grace offers video reviews for $55. She will review 15-20 minutes of video of your riding and provide feedback.
Grace teaches monthly clinics at York Hill Stables on a variety of riding skills including biomechanics, centered riding, dressage, and more. These clinics are open to haul-ins during the dry months. Clinic rides are $30 for a one-hour group lesson. Private lessons available upon request.
Grace offers competition coaching for $55 plus travel.
